  • Karnes County Facility Security

    Department: Karnes County Sheriff Office

    Reports to: Karnes County Sheriff

    Salary: $50,000 annually, plus benefits and uniform allowance

    Karnes County is hiring for a Facility Security position that responsibilities will be to provide security for the occupants and public visitors of the Karnes County Courthouse and other county facilities.

    License/Certifications required:

    • Level IV Security Guard License
    • Valid Texas Driver License

    Conditions of Employment:

    • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.
    • Must successfully complete physical and psychological examination.
    • Must successfully complete a background investigation.

  • Technology Support Technician

    Department: Karnes County Information Technology

    Reports to: Karnes County IT Director

    Salary: $40,000 annually / $19.23 hourly

    Karnes County is hiring for a Technology Support Technician position that responsibilities will be to assist and support in the day to day information technology system operations for all Karnes County departments and staff.

    Education & Experience:

    • GED or HS Diploma is required
    • Associate's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred
    • Preferred three years working experience in a computer held desk environment and/or computer repair environment.

    Special Requirements:

    • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
    • Must pass CJIS Security Awareness Training within first 30 days of employment
    • Must successfully complete a criminal background check
    • Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and be insurable under the County’s guidelines

      The Karnes County Road & Bridge Department is hiring for a full-time Equipment Operator I position that will be responsible for the operation of all equipment used for constructing, maintaining, or otherwise modifying roadway infrastructure in the county, including but not limited to, modifications to roadways, drainage structures.
